All Over Again

It feels like I fell in love with my ex-boyfriend all over again. Like the sparks just flew all over again so instantly. The love rekindled. With Celine Dion's "All Coming Back To Me Now" playing in the air. I think about the times we spent together so much that I wasn't myself at all. I am all crazy again!

I really have to thank Kelly for lending me her Sailormoon DVDs. Although it wasn't the exact full collection that I was hoping to get, but she had the 5th, final season, Sailorstars. I have not seen the final season before because it was never aired on tv, and I doubt it would ever be aired again because Sailormoon (it seems) is history, lame and only meant for girls. I understand its a shojo anime but even girls like shonen animes! GRrrrr... Is there any justice in the world? Sigh. And then I spent my whole week watching and watching, and downloading their songs. Oh my god, it is so good. I'm sorry I shan't (ever, I think) find another who shares the same passion for Sailormoon as much as I do, other than Kelly. LOL. And I'm glad that despite the fact we're both already in our 20s, Sailormoon is still hot in our socks babe! =D

Anyone, anyone please please please. If you ever happen to see a Sailormoon DVD on sale by the road, in pasar malams, in vcds and dvds shops, call me! Then get it for me! I'll pay you back! I promise :X eheehe..ok i'll pay you back. Original ones are easy to get. It's the pirated ones I'm after. Shoot me. They're really expensive ok, the original ones. Damn!

Naoko Takeuchi started writing them in 1992. The first BM translation reached Malaysian shores in 1996. Come to think of it, I don't quite remember how I was introduced to it. Gasp. I know, it is just destiny that we both met. LOL. Picked up my first book when I was in standard 5, which means it was year 1998 (if my calculations are right). Then tv3 was airing Sailormoon every Saturday morning, and I would take the time to tape them up (it used to be VCR LOL). I was such a fan that I even had my mum buy me a Sailormoon bag while we were holidaying in Haatyai * grins *. Plus, while at a mall shopping there, I saw this other really cute Sailormoon bag with a really cool tag of Sailormoon and I just plucked it out. HAHAHAH.. XD I collected all the comic books, I have them all in a row. I kept it from my mum that I used to sneak out of class to the school's bookshop to buy every new Sailormoon colouring book there was and I collected their erasers, stamps, letter sets etc etc. Phew! Now you know where all my money went =)

The End To A Beginning

Alas, the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games 2008. It has been a spectacular ride, the past 16 days. Absolutely phenomenal. Stunning. Engaging. Inspiring. Brilliant. Depressing. Disappointing. Ok, period. You get the idea. I remembered my face being glued to the tv 24/7, no matter what the event was, no matter if I understood the rules of the game, no matter who's the last man standing on the winning podium and no matter if there was any hot guy or not. Ok, scratch that LOL.

Anyways, I still think artistic gymnastic was the best, then rhythmic gymnastic, then swimming, then synchronized swimming, then weightlifting (I like hearing them roar LOL), then diving and blah blah. Badminton is last on the list! Total garbage.

I was watching the closing ceremony last night and ahhh!! My David Beckham =) *melts* OOooOo and Lee Hom. Sigh. Plus, I am so looking forward to London's Olympics!

Reminiscence

I was clearing up some stuff in my room yesterday noon. Things have been untouched for ages and the layers of dust have been piling up thick.

I still haven't dispose of my form 5 add maths tuition notes from Ms. Lee, my BM tuition notes from Aziz and all my A-levels notes. Oh, from long, long time ago. As I was flipping through those pages of terrifying maths that I used to do, I was just telling myself "damn, I've never done so much maths in my life". Going to Ms. Lee's tuition was exactly like having the whole Alps laid upon your shoulders. That was how much the workload was and I think, still is. And I remember I had no comrades with me while all others came in gangs. In other words, I was the black sheep. I don't know why no one from school went there since she's one of the best maths teacher you can ever find throughout my sunny island. This I guarantee. Her list of new students for next year starts 2 years before or so. Imagine fighting for a place just to listen to her and be dumped all sorts of maths papers and idiotic formulas at your face in a small little cosy house which you'd be often served with chocolates, cakes and drinks. The irony. Then again, thank you Ms. Lee for everything , otherwise I wouldn't have gotten that A =)

And then, Aziz's tuition. That was much more fun. I had Mei and Diana with me =D We'd be talking about how soon he'll get lung cancer from all those cigarettes. LOL. And how often he refuses to zip his pants. -_-

I opened my other cabinet and I found a photo album of my last break monitors camp in school. I realise I miss those moments so much. Blian, Melanie, Mei, Su Lin, Angel, KC, Pei Pei, Mei Fen, Li Tinh, Su Sien etc etc. Most of all, Miss Su. Despite me looking like a geek back then, these were some of the finest moments that I'll forever remember. You know they say that your high school friends are those that'll make an impact in your lives and they're the ones whom you'll never forget. =)

And then, last night, I watched badminton men singles final. It was hideous. It was disgraceful. Menacing. Lifeless. Unenergetic. Dead. Garbage-like. Uninspiring. PERIOD. Lin Dan didn't even need to flick his racket much to kill off our top seed LCW. What an easy game it was! Maybe he knew he wouldn't be able to beat Lin Dan but at the least, give him a tougher fight and make it a little more worthwhile for Lin Dan to win the gold medal but all he did was make Lin Dan look exceptionally phenomenal and himself, an idiot, a fool. He didn't even have the fighting spirit, that wanting to win look upon his face. We were all expecting an exciting game but it turned out otherwise. It came to a point where Lin Dan's winning smashes became a laughing joke because LCW couldn't even handle such an easy stroke. Sigh. Good for you, Lin Dan. And I'm glad you win. Shame on you Lee Chong Wei.

Extraodinaire!

This was China's artistic gymnastic team winning the gold medal yesterday. A distinctive moment to be proud of! =D



Today's another spectacular day. Both gold and silver medal of the all-around individual event for the artistic gymnasts went to Nastia (for Anastasia) Liukin and Shawn Johnson (my very own favourite girl!). The bronze went to Yang Yilin of China, again, very proud of her. Liukin just pushed it to the limits for Johnson. And Johnson, despite being the World Champion, had to settle for a silver medal (damn!). Ok, she was really good. If there was one thing I like about her is well of course, her beautiful line, her graciously elegant moves, her exceptionally good technique and definitely, HER LEGS!!! I'm sorry I could never have such legs. Sigh.

Johnson was fantastic as well. I just love her to bits! Every bit! =D Gee I sound desperate. And that sounds so wrong. LOL. Anyways, she's just a wonder to watch and even though Liukin beat her today, she's still my number one gymnast! =D Plus Cheng Fei *grins*

Yang Yilin was good today. But her floor exercise were a little disappointing. I don't know what happen but she did a hell of a good job. No step-outs, no mistakes, CLEAN. But the judges only awarded her a 15.000 while both Liukin and Johnson had 15.525 (they were both unstoppable though). Then again, China should be very very proud.



Tell me that isn't pretty. I wished i could split in the air as well =( And those legs...CHOP THEM OFF!!!

I Did It

This is probably a little random. And I was trying to think of a title for this post and I thought I'd rather not put "random" because I've already done that once. So, whatever to what's up there LOL Plus, I just felt like typing. And blogging is a pretty damn good therapy for anything I'd say =) Have to pick up mum from the airport in half an hour's time. I hate late flights. They make you sleepy *yawns*

Anyway, I managed to drive alone today (hence the title). It is a great feat, at least to me. It's actually my 2nd time, the first being on Tuesday. The first was definitely nerve-racking. This was much better. Now don't give me that look! It's probably an easy-peasy thing to most people, but damn, a manual car AND a non-power steering one ain't easy-peasy at all. I remember driving that horrible vegetable kancil during my driving lessons and they made my back ache. LOL My cousin bro insisted that I drive him around Chulia Street and into Carnarvon Street. He decided that he shall not ever, ever, ever again hop into my car. Serves him right for complaining so much.

China's Yang Wei from the artistic gymnastics won a gold medal today for the all-round individual event. Lovely. Absolutely lovely. PERIOD.

Fantastic 6!

(BEIJING, August 13) -- China made history today by winning its first Olympic gold medal in the Team event of Women's Gymnastics.

China won the gold medal with a total of 188.900 points.

The United States won the silver medal with a total of 186.525 points and

Romania won the bronze with a total of 181.525 points.

China's performance was exceptional! Absolutely breathtaking and stunning! A world class act =) First time in Olympic history, can you believe it?! No huge errors, just tiny slips and mistakes (maybe just one horrifying error from Cheng Fei on the beam - she fell) but overall, excellent! And at such a young age (youngest being 16), you really have to give them the credit for performing so well even under the intense pressure. More than half the crowd were Chinese. And yet, they did it so effortlessly that you'd probably think the acrobatic stunts are all a piece of cake.

I've been there, in ballet. That amount of pressure on your shoulders can really kill if you can't handle it. The greater the pressure, the more mistakes you tend to make, and more and more pressure comes on again. Talent. You must have it.

Anyways, I just finished watching the women's artistic gymnastics final and I absolutely loved it. I liked the guys too. And it went to China again! Another first time in history =)

I particularly favoured Shawn Johnson from the US (women's). She is just a wonderful talent to watch. The others looked a bit cocky, no offense but yeah. And Alicia Sacromone couldn't get a grip on herself after 2 errors, one on the beam and the other on the floor. A silver is good. Very good actually.

And it was a pretty close chase for the bronze medal. Russia and Romania. Russia made too many mistakes. Very significant ones. I like Stellania Nistor for Romania =) Another great talent =)

I love all the 6 from China. Very humble. Very talented. And whata great display of art! =)

Weirdly Weirdish Weird!

I had a really weird dream last night. I mean really weird. I woke up and damn! It actually felt good but it was one of the most awkward dream I ever had. Excuse me, but it is definitely NOT about sex and mind you, I don't have wet dreams like guys do (whatever the hell they dream of anyway LOL).

I've actually had a couple of really weird and funny dreams in the past and everytime I tell them about it (i.e. Cat, Mei, EC etc etc), they'd just laugh their heads off and call me an idiot for it. I remember once I had a dream about Raymond Lam "Lam Fung" and Moses Chan "Chan Hou" (definitely two of my favourite TVB actors of all time!). They were both fighting over me! LOL Yeah, laugh all you want but hey, I woke up with a smile =D Ok, maybe I acted like a bitch in my own dream but heck, it felt exceptionally good to have two hot guys that you really adore going after you. LOL.

Nevermind the past, back to my current silly little dream....

I got married! LOL.....LOL

I could'nt exactly see his face, it was really vague, but I think he actually looks really good. I mean you know, tall and fit and he wasn't Chinese. Caucasian I think? *slurps* LOL
When he first popped the question (sounds so Hollywood movie LOL), I didn't immediately said yes (but of course) but when he started with all his smoochie-smoochie stuff, which I am not disclosing in here (NO WAY), I just literally melted and died. Instantaneously. My heart just fell out of place.
Then the next thing was, I was in my wedding gown, which was in this beautiful pastel green that I really liked. And the aisle and all. It was amazingly extraordinary and really, really, really beautiful. I mean who wouldn't feel like they're on top of the world really? You're marrying the very person whom you know loves you so much and maybe even more than you love him. LOL

And then,

I woke up, felt like pee-ing. DAMN. It was I think, 530am. So I went to the toilet and was trying to recall the whole dream. Then, I went back to sleep.

And it continues!! ^__^

My husband somehow just disappeared in this continuation of the dream. And guess who came out? You wouldn't believe it. It must be too much of Olympics. Too much of badminton. LOL Of all the cute guys in the Olympics that I could've have, it was none other than...Lee Chong Wei???!!!!! OMG. Shoot me in the head. NO. I WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH HIM. AND AM NOT.

Somehow, I was back in school, still married. Weird, but yes. So basically, I was a 20 year old, married to a pretty hot husband, but still stuck in form 5?? Yeah. And then, the whole national badminton team came along to our school (CLS LOL). And the girls were all going ga-ga (god knows who they were going gaga over considering the fact that they were all uncles). Then my teacher asked who wanted to volunteer to get some papers signed by the team, and everybody yelled my name (because I was a newlywed). So I went up and Lee Chong Wei wanted to take a pic with me! *jaw drops* You could tell the girls were aiming their weapons at me.

Then my alarm rang. And I woke up. I didn't know what to make out of my 2nd dream. LOL
Seriously, it could've been better if it was Michael Phelps rather than Lee Chong Wei?! =S

I better get going. Artistic gymnastics is waiting for me! WHoooo hoooOO!! =D

Ready...Go!

Can't wait for tonight! The official opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games! =D *confetti* I'm looking forward to my all-time favourite event, rhythmic gymnastic especially (can't wait can't wait can't wait!!), and also football, basketball, swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, badminton (although I have to admit that I somehow feel very strongly about our Malaysian team not being able to bring home the coveted gold medal we've all been waiting for sadly) and etc etc.

It has been almost 3 months since one of the biggest disaster in the world strike China. And a much worthy applause to them for the fast recovery and now, bringing us the much awaited Olympic Games 2008 =)

It's somehow rather ironic that I do actually like sports when it comes to watching them being played live when I'm not even an active person at all. Beats me why LOL

Another really hilarious and entertaining thing happened today. It wasn't all that bad afterall my day. We had BS today and we had to break some bad news to the patients. Our SPs were extremely good actors and actresses I must admit. And they definitely should not be deprived of an Oscar award, or at the least an Oscar nomination. LOL. We had that really nice Indian uncle (which I'm sure everyone knows), one Chinese lady, and our ever famous Lina, that half Malay, half Chinese lady, or god knows what race she is, who can really cry, really seduce you, and damn, she can rip you apart.

The Indian uncle was just being plain nice. Khine and Michelle had him (Khine's being a smarty pants LOL). And then, next in line was supposed to be me and Lip Jeen and we were both so worried and anxious that we might get Lina. Thank god, it wasn't her. Oh my god, she was crying when Lip Jeen delivered the news to her. Seriously, these people...And then, it was my turn. I knew it! I got scenario 4, which means I have to tell her that she is HIV +ve. She wasn't taking it seriously at all! And when she kept touching my hands, I couldn't stop laughing. So did the rest of the class. LOL Too bad I'm straight, otherwise....XD

The funniest of all was Soo Han's turn. Indeed, he got Lina. The drama queen. She came in, and called herself Lola. Ok. That was just the beginning of it.

Soo Han: So how should I address you?

Lola: Call me Lola. What about you? (add in the seducing voice)

Soo Han: Oh I'm Soo Han

Lola: Soo Han? Soo Han Soo Han..So difficult to remember lah. Like Dr. Robert, Robert Robert so easy to remember. Nevermind lah, I call you Simon (all burst out laughing). Ok ah, Simon? Simon nice lah!!!

Soo Han: Ah, er, erm......

Lola: Okla, Simon lah. Aiyah, easier ma...

Then bla bla bla..(not so interesting facts)

Soo Han: So, why have you come in today? (or something like that)

Lola: I have fever lor, soar throat, and ah, I lost weight ah! Can you see, see, see all my bones here? So obvious hor! You looking or not?! See where I point?!

Soo Han: ahhh yaya, looking, looking..

Lola: Eh, but ah, they say like that very sexy ohhh..sexy ah? sexy or not Simon? (Hooi Hooi was laughing mad)

Soo Han: Ya ya, sexy (LOL)

And then later, she was scolding Soo Han cos he kept stammering (cos she was making us laugh too much!) and said he isn't as good as Dr. Robert or something lah.

Lola: Why you moving away from me? You scared of me is it? Aiyah! Dr. Robert also not like that! I move closer to him, he move more closer to me summore! Aiyer, so cute la he! So handsome! Eh eh, you got one mole here! (points to Soo Han's mole) Aiyer, so cute la! (giggles) U'd be more sexy if you were a girl LOL. (Soo Han stammering again) Why you so like that wan?! Where's Dr. Robert?! He got other patients is it?

Soo Han: Ahh, yaya. But he's very EAGER to see you also la

(LOL)

Then, so on and so forth. Couldn't remember all the other details but these were the really funny ones. We couldn't stop laughing for at least 5 minutes. Hooi Hooi's turn was next. Hers was really funny too but not as memorable as Soo Han's of course. Damn silly.

So, that wraps up our rotation postings! Finally done with it =) 3 weeks of holidays, here I come! Whoo hoooo! =D

People People People!

Some people are just plain weird you know. And obnoxious. And rude. And a total bitch.

I met two really weird people that pissed me off today. One was next to me, sitting at Gate 33, waiting to board Firefly back to Penang. And it's a she. Sad to say yes, she just destroyed the very essence that built the foundation of feminity. OK, maybe I exaggerated a little. But still, she's a total bitch. I wanted to go to the bathroom, 5 minutes before boarding time. I had two bags with me, one was my laptop bag, so I had to back carry it, the other was a hand luggage. And since I obviously could not pee while holding to my hand carry and both the laptop bag, I decided to ask her if she could keep an eye on my hand carry. I asked in a really polite manner ok (even more so than with my parents damn it). Guess what, she just turned around, glanced at me, nod her head once, and turned back to continue reading her book. I was like WTF???!! She so unwillingly agreed! Argh, whatever lah! Since I really had to pee, so I guess I sincerely do need her unwillingly-given help.

The next weird person I met today was on the plane. This old, Chinese uncle sat next to me. Before the plane took off (it was still on the runway), he switched on the lights on top of him cos he wanted to read his newspaper. I was sitting really still, wasn't at all fidgety. Then just before it finally took off, he switched off his lights, and turned on mine for me cos I was taking a novel out to read. I was of course feeling all grateful and was all smiley at him, and said "ahhh, thank you uncle". And guess what he did, he turned to me, gave me a blank stare, and turned back to face the window. ????!!!!!! Not even a "you're welcome" or "no prob" ??!!! GEeeee...people have no manners at all! What did their parents teach them? Damn it.

So I thought to myself, whatever lah. And that bitch had to sit on my left. GRRRRR!! I'm just glad I'm brought up well (or at least I'd like to think so of myself).

Anyways, I gave it some thought. And realized that it has given me much more heartache than happiness. So maybe, i should just let it go and let it be. If it ever does happen, I'm sure it will. And if it doesn't, then I know that mine is still out there somewhere. Eventually. ..

Sigh again. So fast an update. It isn't a happy one. I should be. But I'm not. I can't lie. See how fast my mood turns upside down?

As human as we all are, we're always prone to regret the mistakes that we made, the things that we said, the things that we did. And even those that we did not say, and those we did not do.

Ordinary day

SIGH. I am back in KL. Yep, not a very happy thought. Then again, look on the brighter side. I'm going home again this Thursday, for another 3 weeks of holiday. LOL Right, slap me. It's only 3 days here in KL. =D My flight got delayed today by the way. Hate it.

On to a happier note, my manual-car-driving-skills is getting a little bit better and maybe it isn't that impossible lah. I just like making a big fuss out of things. And no, I'm still not talking to my dad. I'll just wait till he shows a little bit of remorse. HAHA. Right, "anak derhaka". Tell me bout it. Patience is a virtue =) At the end of the day, mum's still the best (sorry lah, a bit sexist here LOL). Always patient, always supportive, never negative (dad should not read this post).

Ahhh!! And I failed to meet up with Hui Li before she left yesterday =( Booohooo to me. Why didn't we spend a little more time together while she was still here? But don't you see how time flies? She's been back here for a year already. Then again, look at the amount of time we managed to spend with each other. Sigh. Blame it on bad timing. And partly, my busy schedule too. Sobs. I miss you Li! Come home again soon! And I will keep at my promise of spending 80% of my time with you the next year you're back. Love you till death do us part!!! *hugs*

You know what they say about how you'd only know a person truly when you start living with them? That is so correct. I'm no amateur at this. And I've witnessed first hand what it means. So true =)

Anyways (I seem to like "anyways"), I need to rejuvenate myself a little before the start of tomorrow. Yawns. Patho lab. Should've skipped it. Damn. I know I haven't update on my performance yet. Soon, when the pics come in.

Tired....

Finished my GP posting today. In fact, it should've ended yesterday but me and my big mouth just said that I wanted to go to Dr. Lim's clinic today in the morning as well. I like his clinic. It's still the same old lovely clinic that I went to since 10 years ago. And Dr. Lim's a really great guy and doctor. Learnt a lot, saw a lot, and so many babies!! *confetti* LOL I like kids. They make me feel at ease at anytime of the day =)

So, for the past few days, I've been at my piano for at least half a day. Why you may ask? Thanks to my "leng lui" Teacher Jasmin (who really isn't very old just so you know...to those who know her LOL and she really should thank me for this publicity), her neverending-last-minute-preparation-for-performances, there's one coming up tomorrow morning. Yawns, it's 8am. Shoot me. And because i like slow songs i.e ballads and all, she chose "Boogie Wonderland" for me and Han Yin. I hate that song since like forever! "boogie wonderla-and" GRRR! And mind you, we learnt the whole 5page-score in only 3 hours, and were only given a day to perfect it. See it? PERFECT it. That's Jasmin. And like I said in my Cbox, my whole skin just peeled off (it hurts, you idiot!) on my index finger, while gliding down. Sigh. I've got to use my finger nails then *rolls eyes*.

I remember the last time I drove a manual car was 2 years ago, while attending driving school and taking the driving exam. After that, I totally retired from such cars and drove only my mum's auto car (besides, it looks hot in red LOL..people notice me=) So when my dad took me out and asked me to drive my cousin's manual kancil (obviously I hated it), it was disastrous. Engine died off thrice in Gurney Drive (!!!!!), I don't know when I should change the gear and bla bla bla. Right, call me a loser. Whatever. It's the 21st century! Who wants a manual car anyway. Blah. So my dad was yelling at me and made me panic everytime i was stuck and I've finally come to the conclusion that I will not ask him to drive with me forever and ever (plus, I haven't spoken a word to him since). But but but, mum took me out today in that dumbass car and I managed to drive from giant to my aunt's. Now that's an achievement =D

Anyways, I'm going back to KL this monday and then, coming back again this coming thursday for another 3 weeks of holidays. Yay! Drums and guitar =) Will update again some time soon.

The Apple Of Our Eyes

My cousin sister came home last weekend. We were all so thrilled about it cos it has been almost a year since we last saw her. And the thing is, she brought her little baby back! Ok, maybe we were all more excited and anxious over the little girl, but still, it's a welcome-home event worth celebrating! =D

Little Kar Cheng is almost 7 months now and she looks so much like her dad! Plus, the thought of me being an aunt (though it sounds a bit old), is most fascinating! =) But ain't I a sassy young aunt? LOL Right, self-praise is no praise. Heee!

I remember trying to test her grasping reflex HAHA (from what we learnt in lecture). No worries, she has it all =) From grasping, to smiling, to sucking (she sucks almost everything! including my pig LOL)..

They left on Sunday =( Don't know when we'll be seeing them again. Sigh. Soon, I hope.

I watched Dark Knight already! And it is so good!! Heath Ledger left such a legacy that I'm sure will never be forgotten. Christian Bale's performance as Batman was absolutely stunning as well. Maggie Gyllenhaal was ok..Aaron Eckhart was good (just a tad sad he was going to be Two Face in the following shows) and Gary Oldman has always been great at what he does anyway LOL. There was so much of suspense in the air, what with the high-pitched strings at one point of the movie. A 10/10 ratings!

Anyways, I won't bore you any further with my petty little details. Gotta go read up on Kawasaki disease and smoking (my GP gave me homework -__-).

Anyways, we were all pretty depressed that we had to go KKB, me more. The only source of food there was 98 Restaurant which is made famous by the frequent visits of IMU students, the chicken rice next to my favourite waffle and ice cream stall (damn, it's the cheapest waffle and ice-cream i've ever encountered!!! Rm 1 for a scoop of icecream and Rm 1 for a waffle!) and the mamak stall and the 7 eleven which supplies everything and oh! the grocery stores as well where the packet of milo is 40 cents cheaper than those in the 7 eleven.

DON'T EAT THE FOOD IN THE HOSPITAL CANTEEN. IT SUCKS BIG TIME. Makes me vomit!!!

It was pretty tiring, the whole 3 days. Had to wake up early and Dr. Lim's enthusiasm just didn't make it better. She wanted reports, summaries, this and that and she's a really fussy woman. Oh, never forget Sister Rita. My god. She's a real pain in the arse. I have never NEVER ever EVER met anyone that could make me hate her, dread her, detest her, for life! She is just the very person you wish would vanish into thin air when she starts to speak. OH MY GOD.

We didn't exactly get to see any extraordinary cases. But there was one which Sundar, Selene and I clerked which was really sad. She had a misabortion and was waiting for 6 years for a baby to come along. So, this was her first. Misabortion means (according to Dr. Lim) she previously (probably) was pregnant but there was a miscarriage during the early months or even the early weeks and the thing is, she doesn't even know that she was pregnant in the first place. Thus, the zygote/fetus was left in the uterus for years leading to later complications such as this. Selene and I didn't get to interview her cos she speaks only in Tamil. But one can really tell that she was devastated from the tears that were verging on pouring out. Very sad. =(

The nurses' hostel is so filthy that I couldn't even bare to empty my bladder, let alone defaecate =S Sigh. Beds were filled with layers of dust, cobwebs etc etc. and it was so hot on our first night (Khine, Selene and I couldn't stop complaining). It was terrible. Thank god it was our final posting at KKB (I hope I don't get posted here for my houseman years).

We managed to visit the dam and the "bridge" on our last night. The view was absolutely breath-taking. I never thought I'd see such a panaromic view in Malaysia. LOL.

Some of the guys wanted to drive up to Fraser's Hill that day itself since it was only an hour away. But most of us (the girls) wanted to stay back cos we're pretty exhausted already and it would be rather late by the time we came down. So, we had our last meal at KKB at the 98 Restaurant and had our beloved ice-cream and waffle =DDDD

Headed back to the hostel, played our cards (bridge and chor tai ti!!) and MAFIA. LOL I'm really bad at it =( Came back to Vista the next day via Kaarthig's car =) Never loved Vista that much!

I guess I still need to improve on my BM cos it sucks big time honestly. It doesn't even come out right. Sigh. GP posting starts this coming Monday. I hope Dr. Lim Huat Beng is still as nice as he was 10 years ago when i frequently visited him as a child =D

I actually just got back from Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB) and i am just freakingly tired and exhausted from the 3 days of hospital posting. Yeah, tell me bout my career geeee..

Anyways, I'm not here for an update on KKB just yet. Haven't got some of the pics quite ready to be posted. Since i have the pics for our CLS outing last Saturday at Times Square, i shall first let known to the world what we, bunch of psychotic, insane, crazily silly shopping queens (so i just discovered our hidden talents LOL) did then =)

As Malaysians as we are, half the bunch were late. I wasn't, mind you =D Took our lunch at Food and Tea Hong Kong Restaurant or Shop. Sort of a Kim Gary thingy although i have to admit Shelva and i were rooting for Japanese food (however, it was rather expensive). Cat and i didn't like our noodles though. But we liked our dessert! =D

Then, we went on and on shopping like some seriously-deprived-of-clothes girls. LOL And i didn't know ET and EC were our reigning shopping queens. My god. Everything in Times seemed FOC haha. I bought an anklet and a top, which Cat and Shel bought too. Only that mine was turqouise. =)

Procrastination!

My grand uncle just passed away this morning. My heart goes out to my "yi poh" and my aunts. Although I barely know him, our families rarely meet up and all, but my condolence reaches out to them. RIP.

Anyway, I'm about to go to KKB in 20 minutes time. And I hate it. The nurses' hostel isn't in a very good condition just so you know. I'm not being a princess here. And everyone's been complaining. So shut up. And the fact that i have to wake up 7am for the next 3 days, and stick around the hospital till 430pm for the next 3 days just kills the last living daylight out of me. Sigh. Hate it. For now, Vista seems like heaven (at least for once).

I hope time moves exceptionally swiftly for the next 3 days. Sigh =( And that Dr. Lim doesn't kill us all. I don't like her. GRR...

Up Down Left Right - Which?!

Yeah i seem like i'm pretty lost, eh? *Sulks*

I remember telling the girls "Eh, nobody sulks past 12am today ok?!"

Ok. Exam results were released today. 1130am. Damn. And we thought we might want to scramble to the Aquaria in KLCC right after my stupid selective's exam (I hope Dr. Ranjit doesn't read blogs LOL awww he's such a sweetheart!) and coming back to IMU to collect the slip later in the noon. Nobody there anymore to ask "how'd you do?" and you'd probably have to reply "Shut up, you arse. I'm trying to open it!" (ok maybe I ain't that harsh hahah). So anyways, we decided not to carry on with the plan cos we'd probably have our minds wandering off and thinking how we did throughout the visit. We headed for Dim Sum instead! =)

Came back to IMU 1130am sharp. A few smiling faces. A few bland faces. A few not-so-excited ones. A train of thoughts passed through my head. I don't think I'd fail. But then again, the world is full of surprises. Anything can happen. What the hell. What if I'm among the 14 people who failed? What if it isn't up to my satisfaction? What if it was lesser than what i deserved? What if what if what if what if. SHUT UP!

Came back to vista. Tore it apart. SIGH. I passed. I guess it was almost as I expected it to be. Feedback wasn't very great. So I would've guessed it anyway. But it's good. It's good, as mum says. It's all that she wants. And she's proud (I love you mum). But you know how you wished it was of a better grade? I mean you always hope and hope and hope for the better despite already expecting what is to come. And then, that dash of reality strikes at you. And you go "Oh, ok...mmmm I don't know".

Anyways, I should be glad. I really should. I should be proud of myself having thus achieve this far. And i survived! =) Maybe I'd work a little harder for EOS 5. Say only lah. Later all down the drain XD

Shopping!

Phew! I just got back from my beloved home in Penang. It was just this wonderful shopping experience free of guilt and all the petty little worries of exams and all. It isn't like I don't have any exams coming up soon, in fact i have one this coming friday, which however i'm sad to say that i'm not studying for it at all yet. Then again, I haven't felt so much of a stress-free shopping day in a long, long time coming.

Anyways, came back here. Has not been very good the way things have turned out to be. As much as I hate to admit it, i miss Fen. I miss how we always have dinner together with NC although they'd be sitting 10 feet away from me, I miss how much of a noise Dee Dee makes. I miss how they'd be laughing their heads off from next door. I miss how I'd always complain about "that bitch" to her. (I hate admitting it cause she keeps bugging me to tell her how much i miss her..stupid woman). And the whole place is such a filth. And i'm so tired of being the only one cleaning up the place when i'm not the only living habitant here. So basically it's like coming back from heaven to hell. That'd explain everything. Sigh. I guess I can't change some people.

Finished our presentation today. What a relief! All my public speaking skills have gone down the drain and so i realised today. And i tend to run out of breath easily. Wonder how I'd fair when it comes to kissing my husband in the not so distant future. HAHAHA. Scratch that!!!!!! XD

Friday's the exam. Not very enthusiastic about it as you can see. Not all racked up for it also. I really should start I think. 10 notes. 20 OBA and 2 SAQ. Plus, results this friday. OMG. 14 people failed. I just hope i'm not one of them. Dear god, have mercy on me. =)

A Day Worth Remembering

Yes, I'm officially 20 now. Not YET 21. But will be soon =)

Mum called me up just before she went to bed to wish me happy birthday. That was before it was 12am. Hui Li wished me on msn =) Then MZ on fb and a few others. And then at 12am, messages started pouring in. Teeheee! I thought none would rmb. Maybe I exaggerated it. I thought FEW would remember. Here's the many people I have to thank for making the day a great one, my very first birthday away from home, a blessed one and a wonderful one =)

Surin: I know you started it all, you planned it all. And you got your mum to drop us at secret recipe. Although your acting wasn't that of a hollywood standard (LOL it was pretty shitty you know), but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness you have shown to me, not only on my birthday but for my whole 2 years here. I love your bracelet! =)

Michelle: Miss Gayathri (I love calling you that. Or Rajaretnam, your father LOL), you weren't a very great actress yourself and in fact you ruined their plan LOL but you know how much I really want to thank you for the Pride and Prejudice (it's perfect. PERFECT!), the sleepover, the dinner that Phoebe made, the comfortable bed, the maggi mee breakfast and milo, the tea, the curry puffs and all. And also I have to thank your mum and dad. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Fun Fair!

Saturday was pretty dull honestly. So there wasn't anything worth noting in here. Sunday, I thought, would be just the same. But no, it was a much better day than Saturday. Fen, my housemate was planning to have dinner at Secret Recipe with Ngie Chang and then she asked if I wanted to tag along. Argh, I already ate my dinner! I don't wana be a hippopotamus! =S But when she mentioned the word "cake", ahh! I was so up for it! =D Then, she later told me bout her "haunted" house which she would be staying rather soon when she leaves for Seremban, our clinical years. It's bad enough that our clinical years would be the most dire and dreadful years, so her "house" didn't help at all. Sigh.



Then, we decided we should go to the fun fair at the stadium since we had nothing else to do (a pretty bored lot we are). Cheng Jun joined us later. There were tonnes of people there OH MY GOD. And it's been so long since the fair was here, that I could even remember the music banging at my ears during my summative study break! And it was really cool. Obviously it isn't as cool as the ones in Genting (there are less games here), but it's pretty something. You know the ones we have in Penang, the Pesta thingy? Yeah, that's bout it. But anyways, the key issue here is that we took this really crazy ride, the Challenger. It didn't look that scary as we stood there watching it. But when we were on it, trust me, it's definitely not for the faint-hearted. I thought it would be just a piece of cake for me but it was one hell of a ride. it went up almost 120 degrees in mid air, imagine u sitting there with a piece of metal flap in front of u and a seat buckle, and two metal bars at the side for you to grab on, and your feet dangling in mid air, and your spectacles are being removed, you could really see nothing except the lights flickering from below. And there you are, screaming your lungs out. And all that is going through your mind for the past 5 minutes was "SHIT, I'm going to die". Honestly. And your butt is constantly being lifted up and you just have to hold on to the metal bar for your dear life.



As soon as in ended, we came out and our hands were just trembling. And we couldn't even walk straight. So much for wanting more of the adrenaline rush. LOL

Randomness

Today was ok. Nothing out of the box. Nothing exceptionally extraordinaire and bizarre. Watched "Get Smart" at Midvalley. Was absolutely humorous. Anne Hathaway was really good. I'm sorry I am never a fan of Steve Carrell. Neither do I watch The Office. The Rock was WAY TOO HOT!! OUCH! You should've seen us going "AHHhhhhh" *melts* when he appeared. Plus, I didn't like the fact that Anne Hathaway kissed Steve Carrell too. So yeah, a 6/10. An additional 0.5 marks for its unstoppable laughters. =D

And then I came home. Absurdly bored. No plans for the weekend. It's just pathetic! I'm sorry I'm not more of a social butterfly. Then again, maybe I'm not. I need to be alone at times. Ok. Maybe most of the time I am alone here. That explains why the blogging spell is being so much of a salvage for my pityful soul. I like writing, anyway. Fine. Typing, in this manner.

Then I watched "Becoming Jane". It was stupendous. Complete flawless acting by both Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy (one of my most favourite actors of all times since "Children Of Dune"). They were just stunning. In case any of you haven't already know, it is the love story of the timeless, classic English novelist, Jane Austen herself. And that lucky guy (or maybe not so lucky afterall *spoiler*) was Tom Lefroy. Of course, Anne Hathaway isn't very much English in it, but still, she was absolutely gorgeous and wonderful. It just amazes how beautiful she is. Even in "Get Smart", she's every man's dream. For a moment, I wished I was a guy. Her eyes, her lips, they're so intoxicating! And there's no denying that James McAvoy is one hell of a talented actor. And he's really getting very good at it. Too bad he's married =( Maggie Smith and Julie Walters stars as the supporting cast (the former being Professor McGonagall and the latter being Mrs Weasley in Harry Potter LOL..I'm sorry I just couldn't help it). Great performance. A complete 9/10 ratings. It would've possibly been a 10/10 if only the ending was what I wanted to see. LOL I like happy endings! Sad endings make me depress! =(

Somehow, I just have a knack for such movies. Those set in the early centuries of England. Take "Pride and Prejudice" for example. I just adore it to bits. I've watched it over and over again until I lost count of the number of times it played on my DVD player back at home, and here. Although I haven't watch Colin Firth's Hallmark version of it, which I'm sure I'd love it just the same as Kiera Knightley's portrayal as Elizabeth. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of Jane Austen. In fact, it's a little embarassing to say that I've only quite learned a little more of her after watching PnP. But of course I do know who she is and what novels she wrote. I ain't that ignorant. Maybe someday, when I have a little more time to spare and a whole library dedicated to me, I'd read Sense and Sensibility, Emma and Mansfield Park.

"Atonement" is another of my favourite. At least it was when Hollywood started to take notice of James McAvoy. But be warned, for those soft at heart, you wouldn't like the ending. It's too depressing. Very. Sigh. "The Other Boleyn Girl" was brilliant as well. Very in line with the English history and very dramatic! Love it to bits as well. History has always been my favourite subject just in case none of you know. Especially the ones that are "non-Tanah Melayu atau Asia Tenggara atau Sabah Sarawak" LOL Plus I like how bitchy Natalie Portman is OWH!!! Eric Bana is just amazing, so is Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman. I love seeing women in those big frolicky gowns, with their hair all in curls and tied up. And I love the English accent! =)

As silly as it may sound, at times I wished my life was that dramatic as well. I mean dramatic in a good way, with a happy note to the end. I don't want my life to just end like Jane Austen's. Unmarried in the end and died at such an early age of 41. Of course she's now one of the most noted novelists in history but then again, "what's the pleasure in life when we can't be together?" by Tom Lefroy to Jane. How I wish life could be more of a fairytale.

The Exploding Belly

Ugh..my stomach is on the verge of bursting. No. More like there's a detonator fixed in it and it's just gonna give its way anytime soon. My god. All my diet-crashing and weight-watching and the excruciating pain top up with the pain-staking efforts of trying to shed the pounds and holding back myself while I watch eagerly as my favourite foods passed me by, IS CURRENTLY DOWN THE STUPID DRAIN. I mean not that I'm exceedingly fat and all, but you know that's what girls do best. And you can never stop a girl or lady or woman from her trying-to-lose-weight scheme. DAMN.

To start it off, the guilt hasn't even left my bleeding heart since I took the tiramisu and chocolate cake last night. And to add to that already alarming weight that I've been gaining for the past months, there was blackforest cake this noon, specially bought for our birthday girl, Shelva. And due to my extremely, utterly greedy behaviour, I took an enormous piece out of it. Enough is enough. Then again, maybe not quite. Italiannese came banging at my doorstep just an hour ago. Sooi, her mum and me ate so much that it felt like it was our last meal on my graciously, beautiful earth. Sigh.

Yes. All of which is an absolute hazard to my weight. To OUR weight. Just shoot me in the head. But I swear, that capuccino pie we had for desert was undeniably scrumptious. Yum!! But I'm betting that only a 100km worth of jogs and runs, top it up with 10 hours of calories-burning exercise would be able to shed it all off. MMmhmm.

But then again, how can anyone complain when there's good food? And for a person like me, food is in my blood, in my soul. I live for food. That's it. It's my very weakness. Sigh.

A huge thank you to aunty, who paid for the exceptionally expensive meal (at least to me) and thanks to Sooi who bought my groceries for me =) I seriously don't know what I'd do without you. Post-exams

Exams are officially over. Wait. Maybe not. I still have my selective exams to go. And maybe EOS 5 in the next 6 months. Then again, who cares bout selectives. I mean I do since it carries a certain percentage for EOS 5 (I have such messy brains). And EOS 5 is well, considerably still quite far ahead and maybe not too far either. But let's just finish one thing at a time.


Summative was over. I definitely did not work as hard as I did for all previous summatives and exams. I don't know. Maybe it's getting a bit too much to handle (whoever said medicine was easy). And the post-exam fever immediately sanked in. Went home and gobbled down loads of good food. I mean LOADS. My belly is already showing itself =( Sighs. We celebrated my birthday and mum's too. Her's belated, mine in advance. It's a depressing thought that my 20th this year would be in vista here. I mean, can it get any more pathetic??!!

A very big thank you to Sooi who's done so much for me today. She bought me 2 pieces of cake; Tiramisu and Chocolate to sorta celebrate my birthday in advance cos she'll be in penang then already. And she bought me (.....) nevermind that, and a apple-scented candle which I really like =) Then we headed over to pasar malam for a fiesta to satisfy our roaring appetite and ended up eating so much! Then we headed back to vista for my cake cutting ceremony =D hahahah!

For that, I am truly thankful to this absolutely wonderful friend cum sis of mine =) Definitely something I'd remember forever.

Since I should not be studying anything at all for now (theoretically and literally speaking in my context), I am planning to enjoy as much as possible. Just a tad sad that Sooi's going back on thursday already and noone's accompanying me throughout this post-exam period. Hopefully my dvds'd serve me well.

Euro 2008 finals

AHHhhh!! It would've been so much better if Germany had won the game this morning =(

Dad and I stayed up till 2.45am (mum was snoring away), and despite our eyes being half-closed, that sheer determination of wanting to watch the game so badly after being deprived of it throughout the league (vista has no bloody astro, idiot) made me squint my eyes so badly. LOL


I've loved football for as long as i could remember, thanks to my cousin brother who just couldn't stop going "GOALLLLLL!!!" everytime the football season is around the corner. And he was the very person who introduced me to my now all-time favourite, Manchester United!


Anyways, history aside. When Fernando Torres scored that goal, my heart just stopped beating. OUCH. And my dad just had to add to my already breaking heart that all his friends were betting on Spain to steal the cup away from my beloved Germany. Sigh. Ok fine. Maybe Spain was way more consistent than Germany. But Germany is such a talented squad altogether and I would really love seeing them win.

The Unforgiving Time

Isn't it funny how time seems to slip by you when you're happy?
Isn't it funny how it creeps so slowly behind you when you're terribly sad?
Isn't it funny how unforgiving it can be?
Isn't it funny?

Isn't it weird that I have to do the things we used to do together, now alone?
Isn't it weird that just a minute ago I was holding your hand and yours in mine?
Isn't it weird that I used to wake up in mornings with you greeting me and that now it's just me?
Isn't it weird to come home with noone behind that door except the merciless silence?
Isn't it weird that just 2 hrs ago we had each other and now it's you and me at two different places?

Of charity dinner, flu, accidents and pure bad luck

The charity dinner on Friday night was great. I mean not that I'm glad there's a charity fund raising event for such a disaster but I just thought it was a great way to help those involved. 400 tables were allocated. 400! Wow.. And each was Rm2000. Of course, mine was FOC heeee =D Volunteers were collecting donations everywhere, each with a small box in their arms. And you can never miss out the rich-and-famous in events like these.


So the night started with all your when-is-this-gonna-end speech by the rich and famous. And then there was food. I am sincerely sorry that all I thought about at that point was food rather than oh-how-sad-this-is. So did my aunt by the way LOL Then the opening performance was a dance and oh my god, that performance was absolutely beautiful. Stunning. Im sorry there aren't any pics of it in here but it just took my breath away. So much so that I forgot to snap a few shots of it. =( Then there's Ling Yu Zhong ( if you don't already know, he's an upcoming Chinese Malaysian singer, appearing in AEC a lot these days ).. and Ah Niu and some other guy I dont know. And the list of performances goes on and on..








For those who can't read Chinese, it means "Earthquake has no mercy, but Malaysians have love" in direct translation. And yes, I couldn't read it either thank you.

But the most captivating and touching moment was during the poem recital. It isn't exactly a poem, they just recited it like a story. And it was almost like watching a real drama on tv. And for a moment, I thought I was there at the scene as well. First was a lady, who spoke of the different people at their bravest moments at different times and place. And it was filled with so much of passion and so much emotion that it almost made me cry as well. Then there was a little girl, probably of age 11 or 12, and a woman. And they acted out a scene as well. That was it. I could just feel the overwhelming emotion from from the two cos they were just superbly excellent and for a girl that young, you really have to give her all the credits. And they both cried. The emcees interviewed them, and asked the little girl what was her advise to the earthquake victims, she replied so maturedly, as compared to any of the girls her age "Dont give up. We will be with you till the very end".

That wraps up the whole night. A very heart warming one indeed =) A big thank you to my aunt!

Now back to reality (you know im always away from it gah!), the flu bug caught up. And I just hate it. It just ruins everything you know. Im already really lacking behind in my studies, havent even done half of endocrine, and here I am sneezing my nose away. WTH. Whoever who spread this bug to me, CURSE YOU!!! grrrr..and because I have allergies and all that, it makes the whole ordeal worse. ISH!!

And then, I nearly got smashed up by the barricade in front of vista B. That idiot guard plainly and clearly had no brains nor eyes to see and to know that we were all passing by. And just because I was the front most person, with Huda walking behind me, it just obviously hit me. ASSHOLE. A big thank you to Huda who yelled at him for me =DD

The string of bad luck doesn't just end there. While I was at pasar malam with Sooi on tues night, with the rain pouring down on my stupid face, my sandals just gave its way. GREAT. Here I am, trying to protect myself from getting wet, there it goes putting me in more agony and humility for I had to drag it all the way back to the car. GEEEEE THANKS!!

Mishaps aside. We visited the dialysis centre yesterday and it was definitely an eye-opener. I never knew that it would put the patients into so much of pain, trouble and hassle. I mean, your life is altered forever. You have to restrict your diet, come for dialysis 3 tiems a week, each session lasting for 4 hours, have a fistula done on your arm for the needle to go through and mind you, the needle is just humungous!! And all the commitment one has to put into it, it was just a sad sight. Very sad. And I was just telling Vivien, if ever I had end stage renal disease (renal failure) , and if i cant get a kidney transplant, I'd just probably go to India and buy one and get it illegally done there. LOL I dont wana spend the rest of my life living and depending ona dialysis machine! The mental torture, together with the physical is just unbearable. But I learnt alot from it. The sister as great. Everything was great except that the fact that IMU staff are just to lazy that they couldnt even draw us a map.

Anyways, its been a long one. Looking forward to home tomorrow. =) Don't look forward to any updates soon. Exam's near and I think I really need to lock in 5th gear. Tutuusss!! =D
