Of course it had to be when Robert Pattinson was on the red carpet and when he presented with Amanda Seyfried. LOL. Mich and i were messaging each other in the morning of the Oscar day, both gasping for air and melting when we saw him. Sigh. I want a man like that :)
Hugh Jackman's opening was great. He really is such a talented guy! Singing, dancing, acting and all, he nailed it! =) Love wolverine!! Definitely worth the title "sexiest man alive".
This is a video of Kunio Kato, who won best animated short film. It is hilarious. Completely hilarious!! I almost peed in my pants i swear. LOL. (i should be less disgusting too LOL)
Kate Winslet deserves every bit of that award.
From Titanic,
To this,
She is definitely one of the best actresses i've seen so far. Loved her ever since Titanic =) I cried like an emo kid again. I have no clue why. Sigh.
Of course, Meryl Streep is a legend. Period.
Changeling is actually pretty good. Watched it a few days ago and i am actually surprised at how much i really liked it. However, Jolie's acting was just okkk. Maybe the Oscar next year. LOL.
I watched Rachel Getting Married too. And i HATED it. I have never hated an Anne Hathaway movie, but this is one movie that i really dislike. I slept throughout most parts. It is utterly terrible. I'd rather she do Brokeback Mountain all over again. Tsk.
Heath Ledger, I LOVE YOU!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

A Little More
Mich's visit here was so much of fun! We were both looking forward to it for such a long time and it finally came true =) Even getting the hotels for her parents were exciting! and i swear i couldn't sleep the night before. I mean seriously, it feels like Edward's coming to town and i'm getting all restless and excited and all those palpitations (gasp!) and those fluttering heart sounds! LOL Of course we're both straight (like duh) but ive been missing her so much since the end of our bukit jalil days and now we can finally, properly, catch up with each other!
Day 1: I took her for chee cheong fun (pg's version. kl's suck) and naturally, she loved it. Who wouldn't? Steamboat for dinner was great. My favourite place for a steamboat like since forever! And i'm glad she and her parents loved it =) We were supposed to have supper after that, but uhm..nevermind. And since we were bloated, we decided to head home and watch some tv. Mulan!! LOL =D Funny how we both really love mulan and never get tired of it even though it was like the 100001th time we were watching it on Disney.
Day 2: Dim sum in the morning! I have this picture of her at the dim sum place but she already killed me for it for posting it up on facebook, so i shall reserve them here. Go check my facebook!!!! ahaha! And then, Gossip Girl came into the picture. More like it came into my life. Mich brought this whole stack of GG Season 1 to watch with me and yeah, i'm like some GG addict now. Tsk! How am i supposed to catch up with it once im in seremban??!!! GG reviews and updates in the next post (this is supposed to be about the trip).
And then of course one would have to have a laksa in penang =) and pancake! (ban/man chang kuih in hokkien)..yummy!! Then headed off to buy mich's shoes in Prangin mall (she bought TWO, that woman!) and then tonnes of DVDs!! (twilight isn't out yet sobs) and she bought GG season 2. Great. I just hate how much i love GG. GRRrrr..
We drove to EnO Hotel after that. The back of the hotel has this absurdly beautiful scenery. The sea front, the wonderful garden and the hotel itself looks exceptionally pretty with its colonial looks and really antique furnishings. Love it to bits. Both our weddings will be there. Definitely.
What's a Valentine's day without a date right. Whoever says that it has to be the opposite sex? And never in my 20 years here on earth have i thought that it was really such a special day. I mean sure, it is some occasion. I just never thought it is that huge that all restaurants or any other dining places were gonna be fully booked! Poor mummy had to call each and every restaurant we could think of to try and get a place for us both. So we finally got Mizi's and it was definitely one night to remember (aherm, mich??). There were this 2 really good looking white guys just next to our table, and they kept looking at us (of course its only mich) the moment we entered the restaurant. Sigh. Melting so much!! ♥ ♥ ♥
Wanted to go gurney after that for a walk but traffic was really slow there (more like stagnant). So we went to marina's. Great, great view too. Then we spent the whole night, plus morning, watching GG =D LOL
Day 3: Had brunch at Carnation bak kut teh at Gurney. Oh, i forgot to mention GG in the morning (again!). It is insane. Totally.
3 days just flew by. Sent mich off and here i am, alone again. Sigh.
Depression is setting in already. I hate to count the number of days left to the end of freedom, to the end of my fantastic time at home. I hate to even think of it. I know i don't really have much of a choice. I just hope i could have a little bit more of time here. Just a little more...

Happiness
Yes, i am back. After 2 weeks of being just plain busy preparing for CNY (i cleaned my whole house all by myself mind you), and immersing myself in the much anticipated oh-my-god-i'm-free-of-exams CNY celebration, collecting ang pows which are decreasing in number year by year (just because i'm no longer a kid), visiting relatives and friends and spending time with them, playing mahjong! (gasp i think i might be addicted to it), watching guilt-free tv and throwing myself at a never-ending supply of food that came my way at each and every turn. It was really busy and i hardly got enough of sleep each day! But behind all that sleep deprivation and stomachache from eating too much, i loved every moment of it. I don't know if it would be the same next year. I don't know if my schedule will unable me to come home. I don't know if i'd be spending it alone and away. I don't know if i'd be missing all the fun at home. And so i knew i had to appreciate every moment of it this year.
Let the pictures do their talking. All the morning dim sum, and the steamboats, and the lunch and dinners..=D
2nd day of cny. Dim sum with the whole family.
Lunch with my besties: Mei, Catherine and Diana (below)
Steamboat with the whole CLS gang. Loved it!
2 weeks in just a blink of an eye. I would've want to relive it again. Sigh.
Guess what. I used my ang pow money to buy my 4 twilight books! GASP!
Eclipse and Breaking Dawn were practically out of stock. I mean seriously?! At when i am in a dire need of it?! The whole of Penang was practically without those two. Especially after reading New Moon, i remember telling Mich how obsessed i am with it, how depressed!! And how suicidal i was feeling after the 2nd and to top it off, i couldn't lay my hands on any of the 3rd and 4th because they were out of stock and it would apparently, only come in in 2/3 weeks time. Man that's a long time. Long enough to tempt me to jump off my building. Long enough to drive me insane! But, they say God works in miraculous ways. Mich got MPH midvalley to courier the two final books all the way here to Gurney MPH !!! I can never thank you enough darling. I love you! I'd definitely do the same for you if things turned out to be the opposite. You don't even have to ask. =) It was funny how she got all excited about me getting my books as well and the insane anxiety that attacked me at that time! I swear i could just die, literally.
I got my books after 4 days! And i finished them already! They are just brilliant. Absolutely breath-taking. Exceptionally good. I can literally feel them you know. And it made me cry so much. Edward is every girl's fantasy. He is what every guy should become. If you haven't seen the Edward groups in Facebook, you really should check them out. There's this one that goes "Because i read Twilight, i have unrealistic expectations in men" LOL. Mich and i were talking about how depressing the whole saga made us. Like if there is an Edward out there for the two of us. No we're not sharing an Edward but two Edwards for each of us. LOL. We can only hope.I can't wait for all movies to come out!!
I can't live in a world where you don't exist.
